Privacy Policy

Last updated May 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Belfort, Inc. (“Belfort,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, dashboard, and SDKs (together, the “Services”). It applies to Belfort as a controller of our own account and website data. When we process end-user data on behalf of a customer, we act as a processor under our Data Processing Addendum.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, work email, and billing details when you create an account or subscribe. We also collect usage and device information automatically — including log data, IP address, browser type, and how you interact with the dashboard — to operate and improve the Services.

When you integrate our SDK, we receive paywall impression and conversion events for your end users on your behalf. This data is governed by your agreement with your users and our DPA, not this policy.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • To process payments and manage your subscription;
  • To communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates;
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating the Services, your consent (where requested), and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting, payments, and analytics), each bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period unless a longer retention is required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@belfort.dev. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

International transfers

We operate globally and may transfer personal data to countries other than your own. Where we do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Services or by email. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
